Miles

Every day I wake up with a pebble in my shoe.
I feel pain while I walk, and I wonder what to do.

Every day I put my shoe on, and forget to pull it out.
Something is wrong, wrong without a doubt.

I cry in pain at night, it hurts so much!
I think, oh, what could it be?
And my tired shoe looks back at me,
hoping to be seen.
